Commercialized products containing Zemea® Propanediol

WILMINGTON, Del., Aug. 22, 2011 – DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products today announced that its renewably sourced Zemea® propanediol has been incorporated into the first hair coloring treatment by Chuckles, Inc. Zemea® is a natural ingredient developed for use in cosmetics, personal care and home cleaning products. It is a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based glycols where the product’s lack of skin irritation, improved moisturization and excellent sensorial attributes are benefits. Zemea® has been recognized by Ecocert ™ and the Natural Products Association as an ingredient of natural origin.
